Person A worked all year and paid $4k in taxes and when files single tax return will get $4k back. Person B worked 1/2 of the year, paid $0 in taxes and gets back $0 when filing single tax return. The two people can file joint return, even though they shouldn't due to separation/divorce. If they file joint return they get back $10k. How should the money get divided?

$5k each - 50/50 of total
Person A gets original $4k and split additional $6k 50/50
Person A - $10k and Person B - $0
